The Texas drought has put a damper on Fourth of July festivities all over the Houston area. High heat and dry conditions have forced many areas to cancel its annual fireworks, but other forms of fun will continue.

The city of Houston and Harris County have banned the sale and use of fireworks. So to get your firework fix, or if you just want to celebrate with friends, here's a roundup holiday activities:

Jack Ingram, Rodney Atkins and Chris Young will be the main-stage entertainment from 8-9:30 p.m., with fireworks at 9:35 p.m. Monday at Eleanor Tinsley Park on Allen Parkway. Other family activities begin at 4 p.m. The events will be televised on Channel 13 from 7-10 p.m. Parking available in downtown's theater district. All events are free with a canned-good donation or $8 without a canned good. Bay Spring Concert Series: Classic rock band the Confederate Jazzman will perform at 6 p.m. Monday followed by country artist Austin Allsup at 7:45 p.m. at Five Points Town Plaza, 201 S. Broadway. Fireworks will be launched from Sylvan Beach at 9:20 p.m. All events are free.

City parade: The annual 4th of July parade will begin at 10 a.m. at Five Points Town Plaza and travel south on South Broadway and end at Fairmont Parkway.
