Through July 30 — Sports screenings: To raise money for Scleroderma research, Dr. Laura McChesney will perform sports physicals for $20 and wellness screenings for $30 throughout the month of July at Ocala Rehabilitation Associates, 1536 E. July 22 — Charity picnic: Highland Memorial Park will host a picnic to benefit PACE Center for Girls from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the cemetery, 1515 NE Third St., Ocala. Lunch will be served on a donation basis with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting PACE. (369-1020)
July 23 — Used book sale: Sheltering Hands Rescue benefit runs 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Winn Dixie, 8445 SW State Road 200, Ocala. Sale also will include CDs and small crafts. (291-1962)
July 23-29 — School-supply drive: Hospice of Marion County will collect school supplies from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily to benefit Operation Stuff the Bus at Marion County Thrift Store locations: 10325 SE U.S. 441, Belleview; 6114 SW SR 200, Ocala; 7578 SE Maricamp Road, Silver Springs Shores.
July 24 — Operation Stuff the Bus Zumba fundraiser: Event starts at 1 p.m. at Vanguard High School. $10 for adults, $5 for kids. Proceeds will help purchase new school supplies and other items for homeless/needy students in Marion County public schools. (671-6847)
July 29 — Allstate Mortgage Golf Scramble: Annual tournament starts at noon at the Ocala Golf Club, 3130 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala.
