Cook Chevrolet donates money, equipment to Craig youth baseball program
Cook Chevrolet recently donated $500 and various forms of equipment to the Craig Parks and Recreation Department’s youth baseball program. The donation is part of the nationwide Chevy Youth Baseball initiative.
“Our youth baseball program in Craig is truly cherished and we are happy and excited to support the kids in a significant way,” said Cook Chevrolet owner Scott Cook in a press release.
Parks and Recreation Director Dave Pike said that Cook Chevrolet donated enough shirts for three teams this season, which concluded Wednesday.
In addition, donated equipment kits included bags, helmets, balls and dugout management tools.
Pike said the donation helped to offset equipment costs to the city this year. He said he is appreciative of the donations.
“It helped with our inventory immensely,” Pike said. “It was really a sweet deal. It was a pleasant surprise.
